My favorite holiday songs - Day #24 - Steve Martin's "5 Christmas Wishes"
Okay, this isn't really a song, but it's the perfect way of closing out my list of top 24 holiday songs. Merry Christmas everybody.

It was only recently that I first heard this song but the the combo of Frank and Cindy's voices work together well.

I love hearing Louis Armstrong's voice but it makes me want to clear my throat all of the time.

It's a great Christmas classic, but has some of the strangest lyrics ever. I'm sure it was really great being a part of the Williams household with dad telling scary ghost stories at Christmas. Who does that?!

I already lost my man card on Day #8 (Wham) so I have no shame in listing this Mariah Carey song today. It's a great song. Period.

Bing Crosby is Mr. Chrsitmas and this is a song defined by him. Most remember the song from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation -- the pool scene no less.

This might be the first Christmas song kids learn. And though Gene Autry's version is tough to beat, I like Ray Charles' jazzy approach to the tune.

This may not qualify as a true holiday song, but the season lends itself nicely. The lyrics are simply phenomenal. If you ever do any karaoke at Christmas, this is a crowd winner.
Both men and women can relate to this song. . . but I'm sure each have their own response.

Leon Redbone's and Dr. John's sounds go perfectly together for this holiday classic. It gives me chills because it was my father's favorite version of the song, so we listened to it all the time growing up.
